Kieren Perkins OAM, Brisbane Boys' College 1986 -1991
Kieren John Perkins, is an Australian former competition swimmer, four-time Olympic medalist and former world record-holder in three events. One of the world's best-ever long-distance swimmers, he won two Olympic gold medals in 1992 and 1996 in the 1500-metre freestyle, and a silver medal in 2000.
Daniel is a Paralympic sailor and won silver at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, won gold at the 2012 London Paralympics and at the 2016 Rio Paralympics with partner Leisl Tesch in the two person scud.
Martin Love was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School from 1990-1991. He was an International Cricketer with a test debut Boxing Day Test versus England in 2002. He was also Captain of the Queensland Bulls XI.
Jason Little, Toowoomba Grammar School, 1983 - 1987
Jason was a student at Toowoomba Grammar School from 1983-1987. In 1993 he became the youngest player in Queensland’s rugby history to make fifty appearances for his State.
Australian & Queensland Rugby League Captain: Wally graduated from BSHS in 1977, and during his final year, captained the Boys' First XV Rugby Team. Wally, also known as 'The King', is an inspirational former rugby league player whose feats on the football field have gone down in history.
Australian Cricket Vice-Captain & Wicket Keeper: Ian Healy graduated from BSHS in 1981. Perhaps the most successful wicket keeper of all time, he played for Australia for more than 10 years. Missing just one Test over his career (because of a broken thumb), he collected 5 world records along the way.
Mr Jon Sieben OAM, Brisbane State High School, 1983
Olympic Gold Medallist, Swimming, Jon graduated from BSHS in 1983. He became a national name in his infamous David verses Goliath 200m butterfly swim at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
