Archbishop John Bathersby, Nudgee College 1951–1954
Born 26 July 1936, Stanthorpe, Queensland, Archbishop John Bathersby is a retired Australian bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. He was the sixth archbishop of the Archdiocese of Brisbane, serving from 1991 until his retirement in 2011.
John Vernon Kestell Cornish, Ipswich Grammar School, 1946-49
John Vernon Kestell became a Minister in the Anglican Church. He was eventually made Assistant Bishop of Perth. A few years later he was appointed Bishop of Tasmania, but died before he could take up the position.
Headmaster at Terrace from 1973-81. Awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2008 for his service to education through leadership and development roles in Catholic Schools and to religious life through the congregation of the Christian Brothers.
Fr Frank was ordained in 1968, He was Parish Priest for Grovely, Mitchelton and Samford communities for 21 years. He started work within Catholic Archdiocesan ministries coordinating catechism in state schools, adult faith education and multicultural programs. He has been involved with Catholic parish schools and education for his 50 year vocation, aside from eight years as rector of the Queensland Seminary.
Bishop Tim Harris, (born 29 October 1962) is an Australian Roman Catholic Bishop who was appointed as the sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Townsville by Pope Francis on 8 February 2017.
