Hamilton Stuart Patterson, Ipswich Grammar School, 1924-1929

Following war service as a medical officer in the RAAMC Hamilton Stuart Patterson was a General Practitioner in Ipswich for 35 years and the Sunshine Coast for 25 years.

A foundation member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in England in 1953, he was co-founder of the Royal Australian CGP in 1958. He enjoyed a long involvement with St John's Ambulance, Rotary, the Society of St Andrew and community affairs.
